Foal
A foal picture should not be trusted when you buy a horse.
Newborn animals are able to stand up and walk almost after 1-2 hours after birth. The young are born with such long legs that they find it difficult to reach down to the grass to eat. They become fully grown by 3 - 4 years of age.

A mare is pregnant for about 11 months. As a rule, most mares give birth in the spring to a single baby. Cases when twins are born are not uncommon. For several months, the young feed on their mothers’ milk. A foal picture should not be trusted when you buy a horse.
